Overview

At Intersect, we offer a flexible work environment that includes remote work, hub gatherings, and in-person team weeks. As a Software & Systems Lead, you will design and lead secure, scalable cloud solutions powering internal applications and our SaaS ecosystem.

What You’ll Do

Solution Architecture & Design

  • Lead design and architecture of enterprise-grade applications.
  • Leverage modern frameworks and diverse database technologies.
  • Design cloud-first, scalable solutions for web, mobile, desktop, and PWAs.
  • Ensure designs meet performance, security, compliance, and reliability standards (NIST, SOC 2, ISO 27001).

Cloud Infrastructure & Operations

  • Define and maintain cloud infrastructure standards for IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS.
  • Collaborate on SLOs, monitoring strategies, and automated recovery processes.
  • Support Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery strategies.

Collaboration & Leadership

  • Work with developers, DevOps, security, and product teams for technical alignment.
  • Provide technical mentorship and review critical solution designs.
  • Partner with IT and hardware teams for integrated application and infrastructure needs.

Automation & Continuous Improvement

  • Deploy automation-first principles to accelerate delivery and improve reliability.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and best practices to enhance architecture.

Security & Compliance

  • Integrate cybersecurity best practices with SASE and ZTNA frameworks.
  • Collaborate with IT and external providers to ensure security and regulatory compliance.

What You’ll Bring

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • 12+ years in software engineering and cloud architecture with 5+ years in a lead role.
  • Expertise in modern frameworks (.NET Core, Node.js, Python) and multi-database architectures.
  • Experience with multi-cloud services, container platforms (Docker, Kubernetes) and IoT protocols.
  • Proficiency in CI/CD pipelines, Agile delivery, and Infrastructure as Code practices.
  • Strong knowledge of cloud security principles and compliance standards (NIST, SOC2, ISO 27001).
