About Intersect and this Role

Intersect has been a fully flexible workplace since 2016, blending remote work with in-person team gatherings at designated hub locations (SF Bay Area, NYC Metro Area, Denver, CO; Houston, TX; Calgary, AB; and Toronto, ON). Candidates must be located within 60 miles of one of these hubs.

Role Overview

As a Project and Portfolio Finance Team Member within the Capital Markets team, you will enable large-scale clean energy projects by supporting financing strategies and executing structured finance transactions such as non-recourse debt, tax equity, portfolio financings, and hybrid facilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead Transaction Modeling: Own financial models for construction loans, tax equity, back leverage, and hybrid structures.
  • Drive Due Diligence & Execution: Coordinate processes among lenders, investors, consultants, and attorneys and review project contracts and reports.
  • Support Ongoing Financing: Manage existing financings, track performance, and collaborate on budgeting and forecasting.
  • Shape Strategic Decisions: Perform sensitivity and scenario analysis, supporting various project decisions.
  • Explore New Opportunities: Engage in special projects such as M&A and market entry assessments.

What You’ll Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, accounting, or related field.
  • 2-4+ years in clean power, utilities, or infrastructure capital markets.
  • Strong financial modeling skills with expert Excel proficiency including VBA macros.
  • Experience with U.S. tax equity transactions preferred.
  • Proven ability to manage complex processes with multiple stakeholders.
  • Collaborative mindset and strong communication skills.

Total Rewards

This role offers competitive total compensation of $121,000 to $128,000 (base + bonus in USD), comprehensive health benefits, unlimited PTO with additional company-wide breaks, family support, mental health benefits, retirement contributions, and various other perks including a monthly food stipend and full home office setup.
