We hold team gatherings at our Team Week experiences and at our Hub locations in the SF Bay Area, NYC Metro Area, Denver, CO, Houston, TX, Calgary, AB, and Toronto, ON. Candidates must be located within 60 miles of any of these hubs.

About This Role

As a Power Developer SPP on Intersect’s East Development team, you will help shape the future of energy across SPP by managing project budgets, schedules, and the economics that drive successful projects. You will support the full development lifecycle for solar, storage, wind, and load projects while collaborating with experts across engineering, finance, origination, and real estate.

Team Overview

The Development team advances clean projects from early-stage strategy to construction. The team handles opportunity identification, land and transmission securing, permitting navigation, and contract structuring to bring projects to life across multiple technologies and markets.

What You’ll Do

  • Advance Project Development: Support wind, solar, BESS, and load projects from strategy through to construction start.
  • Manage Day-to-Day Operations: Oversee project budgets, schedules, and tools ensuring on track delivery.
  • Drive Financial Insight: Own financial models and economic analysis to inform decisions.
  • Strengthen Partnerships: Assist in negotiations, relationship management, and contract structuring with utilities and land agents.
  • Reporting: Prepare clear updates and materials for senior leadership and investment committees.

What You’ll Bring

A bachelor’s degree in business, finance, economics, energy management or equivalent experience is required. You should bring 2+ years of experience in the energy industry, strong financial modeling skills using Excel or similar platforms, excellent communication and organizational skills, and familiarity with energy project development processes or power market dynamics. A growth mindset and willingness to learn new technologies is essential. An MBA or advanced degree is a plus.

Total Rewards

Total Compensation ranges from $121,000 to $128,000 USD, including bonus.
