About Energy Market Risk Manager

Role Overview
The Energy Market Risk Manager will join the Market Risk team to lead technical analysis, build risk management tools, and support investor and internal reporting for ERCOT and CAISO markets. You will quantify and communicate market risk exposures, design advanced risk analytics, and ensure compliance with risk policies.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive technical analysis of physical and financial positions in ERCOT and CAISO.
- Design, develop, and optimize risk analytics using Python, SQL, and Google Cloud Platform.
- Create scalable risk management applications and BI dashboards.
- Deliver accurate, investor-ready risk reports aligned with policy requirements.
- Collaborate with Origination & Trading/Operations teams and leadership.
Qualifications
- At least 5 years of experience in ERCOT and/or CAISO markets.
- Strong quantitative analysis background in the energy sector.
- Expertise in Python, SQL, and cloud platforms.
- Knowledge of quantitative finance concepts such as VaR and MTM.
- Experience with BI tools and effective communication skills.
