About the role

Human Resources Manager

Internet Brands, Inc., based in Los Angeles, is looking for an experienced Human Resources Manager to support a rapidly growing division. The position is located in El Segundo, CA.

Responsibilities:

  • Consult with leaders to understand business priorities and collaborate with the HR team to design HR solutions supporting objectives.
  • Coach managers on performance management, employee development, engagement, and retention strategies.
  • Make recommendations for actions that align with policies, practices, and culture.
  • Partner with recruitment and leaders to attract, reward, and develop talent.
  • Advise on and ensure compliance with employment policies and manage complex employee relations issues.
  • Utilize HR metrics and analytics to identify trends and suggest improvements.
  • Foster a positive work environment by addressing questions and concerns, proactively resolving issues, and advising management on best practices.
  • Collaborate with the HR team on activities to enhance morale and employee commitment.
  • Partner with leadership and HR on other activities and special projects.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree and/or PHR certification.
  • 5 years of HR management experience.
  • Strong business acumen and a passion for HR.
  • Ability to exercise autonomy, independent judgment, and decision-making; providing sound reasoning and balancing information to resolve issues and mitigate risk.
  • Working knowledge of federal and state employment laws.
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written), with the ability to manage difficult conversations respectfully and directly.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage conflicting priorities and organize time effectively.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, high professionalism, and integrity.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.

Compensation and Benefits:

Compensation for this role is expected to be in the low $100ks, determined by factors such as background and experience.
