About the Head of Secretariat NAP Global Network Role

The International Institute for Sustainable Development (IISD), an award-winning independent think tank, is seeking a Head of Secretariat NAP Global Network to accelerate adaptation planning and action in the Global South. This position offers strategic leadership over the Secretariat that supports technical support, peer learning, and knowledge mobilization.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership and vision by implementing the 2030 Network strategy.
• Direct daily operations and manage global and national partnerships.
• Supervise staff, oversee financial management with an annual budget over USD 4 million.
• Coordinate program planning, administration, communications, and donor relations.
• Represent the Network at international meetings and policy events.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates must have a master’s degree in international development, environmental studies, geography, or a similar field. There is a requirement of at least 5 years in management and 10 years in climate change adaptation in developing countries. Strong experience in partnership development, strategic planning, and fundraising is essential along with an established network in government and civil society.
