Culinary Sales Specialist: Role Overview
The Culinary Sales Specialist is a key member of the IGF team. In this role, you will manage, expand, and compete for IGF’s share of the food distribution market by serving as a subject matter expert on IGF’s products.
Main Responsibilities
- Manage and expand IGF’s customer base in designated markets
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities through cold-calling and follow-ups
- Expand existing customer accounts to increase overall sales volume and market share
- Maintain an accurate portfolio of accounts and visit customers in person
- Continuously improve product and industry knowledge
- Negotiate contracts, manage terms and payment arrangements
- Serve as the primary IGF point of contact for customers
- Attend sales meetings and comply with company policies
Qualifications (Required and Preferred)
- Minimum three years of hospitality or food industry experience
- Proven success in food sales and services industry
- Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills
- Ability to work independently or in teams with flexible hours
- Must be able to travel up to 75% within designated region
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and related tech tools
- Bilingual skills are a plus
Physical Requirements
Ability to sit, drive for several hours, walk, bend, and lift up to 40 lbs.

Compensation
Salary plus performance-based bonus eligibility beginning in Year 2.
