About The Team You Are Joining
This Senior Manager, Currency Repatriation & FX Lead role will own the end-to-end FX & Settlement operating model for the rewrite, covering processes, operational requirements, multi-bank execution model, multi-segment and multi-flow cycle management and orchestration, SOP/BCP, and operational readiness. You will ensure the new platform can scale horizontally with faster cycles, real-time execution, higher automation, and true multi-bank and partners connectivity.
What Your Day Would Be Like
Set-up Phase (Design & Solutioning):
- Define the operating model for FX cycles (batch & near real-time), bank connectivity, reconciliations, interest & invoicing, and exception handling (non-standard operations).
- Support architecture and requirement workshops, define operational requirements; sign-off operational requirements in BRD and lead operational readiness strategy (SOPs, BCP, training).
- Define FX execution partnerships and integrations (banking partners, settlement solutions, spreads and rate tables, pre-trade, trade, post-trade).
- Define success measures for Operations.
Execution Phase (Build, Test & Deployment):
- Define project roadmap and MVP release with Project Manager and Vendor.
- Lead Operations business requirements in user stories and sprint deliverables.
- Lead operational acceptance: UAT scenarios, data validation, testing sign-offs for Operations processes; own go/no-go criteria for Operations.
- Stand up SOPs, internal user guide and training, run deployment and hyper care phase.
- Sunset of legacy system and data migration.
- FX and banking partners onboarding and operational execution.
We Would Love to Hear From You If
- University degree in Finance and/or Accounting.
- 5-10 years' experience in a banking/cash management environment, including knowledge of Foreign Exchange, Banking operations, and international transfer mechanisms.
- Knowledge of IATA's Settlement Systems and FX Operations is a definite asset. Experience with Banking back office system processes is an asset.
- Supervisory experience with proven ability to motivate team members.
- Ability to work effectively in a small team environment, under pressure, and meet strict deadlines.
- Meticulous, detail-oriented with strong analytical skills.
