Systems Analyst, AI at Intermountain Health
The Systems Analyst, AI at Intermountain Health collaborates extensively with business, clinical, and technical subject matter experts, IT/DTS partners, and shared support teams throughout Intermountain Healthcare. This role is crucial for analyzing, designing, building, testing, implementing, and supporting a diverse spectrum of digital solutions, both technically and functionally. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, learning agility, excellent interpersonal communication, project management acumen, documentation proficiency, and process improvement competence.
A broad technological aptitude is essential for performing the core functions of this position, which include coaching and assisting process owners in the discovery, documentation, development, deployment, and integration of digital solutions. The Systems Analyst, AI will also evaluate workflow needs and provide strategic recommendations to business and clinical partners for solutions that ensure optimal performance and outcomes, based on specific functional requirements.
Essential Functions
- Digital SME: Apply familiarity and some experience with digital tools and best practices to guide stakeholders on project conceptualization, strategy, design, implementation, and measurement. Work under supervision on defined elements of large projects to create end-user solutions.
- Requirements Gathering: Under supervision, gather and document requirements through stakeholder identification, interviews, research, competitive analysis, and user feedback. Align requirements with best practices, system KPIs, and technology capabilities.
- Project Management: Participate in creating and managing project schedules, consistently meeting deadlines, or escalating issues to project leaders. Assist with task prioritization.
- Analytics: Collaborate on implementing analytics services, including creating, distributing, and managing dashboards and reports under supervision. Translate customer metrics and KPI requirements into actionable reports.
- Usability: Apply usability best practices, research, data analysis, and quality improvement principles in solution development, under supervision.
- Integrations: Collaborate with key business and technical stakeholders on selecting and acquiring 3rd party solutions, and consult on the configuration, development, testing, and implementation of vended solutions of low to moderate complexity, under supervision.
- User Support: Perform operational systems tasks and maintenance, supporting users' day-to-day needs. Solve low to moderately complex issues, incidents, and problems according to service levels and DTS standards.
- Quality Assurance: Follow standard testing methodologies, ensuring digital tools meet requirements, under supervision.
- Training: Participate in developing training and knowledge-based materials for peers, end-users, and other DTS team members.
