Job Purpose

The Reference Data Analyst role at Intercontinental Exchange Holdings, Inc. focuses on ensuring data accuracy, timeliness, and completeness in Global Equities. The position combines content knowledge with technical skills to perform accuracy checks and design quality metrics.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct accuracy, timeliness, and completeness checks on a predefined list of securities.
  • Verify database records against source documents.
  • Identify, record, maintain, and report data inaccuracies and omissions.
  • Perform root cause analysis to consolidate findings.
  • Examine error results and identify trends to recommend solutions.
  • Present statistics on accuracy, completeness, and error distribution.
  • Escalate issues to management in cases of repetitive errors.
  • Recommend automation, system edits, and quality report improvements.
  • Develop and execute data cleanup initiatives.
  • Produce Access queries and SQL to enhance data quality processes.

Knowledge and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, economics, computer science, information management, or statistics.
  • Minimum of 1.5 years experience in Equity primary or Secondary processes.
  • At least 6 months’ tenure in current designation.
  • Proficiency in SQL, Macro, Advanced Excel or any programming language.
  • Strong understanding of Global Taxable Secondary processes and internal applications like Ex share, Bond Eye, and Service Now.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
