Job Overview
The Senior AppOps Specialist - Release Deployment is a hands-on application lead with advanced expertise in Site Reliability Engineering and Enterprise Application Integration. You will drive application and platform insights, ensure high performance and availability, and lead robust application deployments across all environments.
Responsibilities
- Automate application deployments across environments (UAT, Production, etc.).
- Configure and troubleshoot components ensuring high availability and stability.
- Develop release documentation and ensure audit compliance.
- Collaborate with Product, Development, Testing, QA, and Operations teams.
- Manage risks, mitigate issues, and handle escalated critical alerts.
- Implement release best practices and drive continuous improvements.
- Optimize performance using monitoring tools and proactive interventions.
- Coordinate change activities and quality processes across all workstreams.
- Plan capacity, perform ITIL related activities, and report metrics.
Required Skills & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
- Expertise in Git, Red Hat OpenShift, PostgreSQL, CI/CD, and Kubernetes/containerization.
- Proficiency in scripting with PowerShell, Python, and Ansible.
- Experience with monitoring tools (Azure Monitor, Splunk, Dynatrace).
- Strong background in Agile frameworks, SDLC, and ITIL practices.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Nice to Have
- Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) Certification.
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate (or similar certifications).
- Experience supporting/migrating to AWS services.
- Experience in Financial and Payments services.
- ITIL Certification.
