About the IDB Data Analyst Intern Role
This is a 2-month paid internship at the Inter-American Development Bank's Headquarters in Washington D.C., with visa sponsorship offered. The 2026 Summer Internship Program is a highly competitive opportunity for graduate students from member countries to gain invaluable experience in development work and corporate management.

What You'll Do
- Collaborate on data analytics research projects led by the Financial Management and Procurement Services (FMP)’s data team.
- Clean, standardize, and analyze data efficiently using Python and Power BI.
- Explore and apply advanced analytical techniques to support project objectives.
- Support the design and automation of fiduciary indicator visualizations in Power BI.
- Utilize Power Query, DAX functions, and advanced SQL for dynamic data analysis and reporting.
- Document research project results, methodologies, and conclusions in a comprehensive technical note.
What You'll Need
Education
- Actively enrolled as a graduate student (master’s or Ph.D.) from an accredited university in relevant areas.
- Your graduation date must be after the internship period (August 15, 2026).
- A minimum of 50% of coursework must be completed when applying.
Languages
- Fluency in English is required.
- Working knowledge of Spanish, French, or Portuguese is a plus.

Requirements
- Citizenship: Must be a national of an IDB member country.
- Active Student Status: Enrolled in a graduate program (master’s or Ph.D.) as of the internship start date.
- Consanguinity: No family members (up to fourth degree of consanguinity and second degree of affinity, including spouse) working at the IDB or IDB Invest.
- First Job at IDB Group: Must be a first-time participant in an IDB Group Internship Program and not a former staff, contractor, or service provider.

- Academic transcripts and university letters must be issued within the last three months.

- Availability to work full-time (40 hours/week) from June 16 to August 15, 2026, is mandatory. These dates are fixed.
