Overview

The Data and Analytics Senior Associate Specialist at Inter-American Development Bank is an international staff role based at our Headquarters in Washington, D.C. Visa and relocation support are provided.

About the Role

Work within the Budget and Corporate Procurement Division as part of the Budget and Administrative Services Department. Reporting to the Division Chief, you will be responsible for developing analytics for budgeting and procurement functions to improve risk-based decision making and information transparency.

Key Responsibilities

• Promote a culture of analytics to enhance decision-making and transparency.
• Develop and implement data strategies with minimal disruption.
• Create and maintain dashboards tracking budget metrics and procurement activities.
• Provide data mining support for Senior Management and client inquiries.
• Guide on data governance to ensure compliance with policies and regulations.
• Generate ad-hoc reports and perform in-depth analysis as required.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Business Administration, Data Science, Mathematics, Procurement, Finance, Project Management or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in data analytics, reporting, data mining, modeling, and governance.
• Expertise in visualization tools, specifically Microsoft PowerBI.
• Proficiency in English is required; Spanish is a plus.
• Citizenship of one of the 48-member countries is required.

Contract & Benefits

This is an international staff contract for 36 months initially, renewable upon mutual agreement.
