Data Analytics Consultant

About this position
We are looking for a committed, detail-oriented, and innovative Data Analytics Consultant. As a Data Analytics Consultant, you will carry out activities for the analysis, design, development, and integration of reports and dashboards, providing support to BDA dashboards, including their maintenance, updates, migrations, and improvements, as well as enabling reports and dashboards on mobile devices and tablets.
You will work in the Budget Division (BGT), which is part of the Budget and Administrative Services Department (BDA). This team is responsible for supporting budget planning, monitoring, and management through the use of analytical and reporting tools that facilitate decision-making.
What you will do
- Develop, maintain, and optimize dashboards and data queries to support decision-making, using SQL and PL/SQL.
- Analyze diverse data sources and design processes for their integration into centralized databases.
- Evaluate and manage risks and challenges arising from changes in existing reports and dashboards, as well as new information solutions.
- Support data quality through analysis, problem identification, and the establishment of metrics and control policies.
- Prepare documentation, provide technical assistance, collaborate in training, and assist in meetings and presentations.
- Support organizational change and process improvement initiatives through analytics, research into new tools, and technology evaluation.
- Support the business by providing access to data intelligence, analytics, and data visualization for informed decision-making.
What you need
- Education: Bachelor's degree in information technology or related fields. A Master's degree will be valued.
- Experience: Two years of relevant professional experience in Business Analytics, including:
- Languages: Fluency in Spanish and English, oral and written, is required. Additional knowledge of French and Portuguese is desirable.

- Citizenship: You are a citizen of one of our 48 member countries. We can offer assistance with relocation and visa applications for you and your eligible dependents.
- Consanguinity: No family members (up to the fourth degree of consanguinity and second degree of affinity, including spouse) work at the IDB, IDB Invest, or BID Lab.
Contract type and duration
Full-time Remote Local Consultant, 12 months (up to 48 months, subject to eligibility), providing services 100% remotely from the selected candidate's place of residence. Services are expected to be provided from a country where the IDB Group has offices.
