Data Literacy Instructional Specialist

About the Role

The Data Literacy Instructional Specialist is a contract role for IntePros’ award-winning healthcare client. This role supports the enterprise-wide launch of Power BI by designing and developing high-quality, scalable learning content that empowers users ranging from data consumers to aspiring Power BI developers.

Responsibilities

• Understand learning objectives and align instructional design with them.
• Identify opportunities for new Data Literacy and analytics tool-specific training.
• Act as a Data Literacy subject matter expert in professional networks.
• Manage a defined pillar of the Data Literacy program with impact metrics and ROI reporting.
• Assess and expand educational resources into reusable learning assets.
• Support data literacy marketing via speaking engagements and blog posts.
• Conduct user interviews to understand diverse learner needs.
• Design and deliver courses, curricula, and learning modules.
• Partner with subject matter experts to validate training content.
• Facilitate virtual and occasional in-person training sessions.
• Gather feedback and continuously improve learning materials.
• Build trusted relationships to encourage ongoing analytics adoption.

Required Qualifications

• 2+ years in instructional design, training delivery, curriculum development, or eLearning.
• 4+ years in data and analytics fields.
• At least 1 year experience using tools like Adobe Creative Suite, Camtasia, or Articulate/Storyline.
• Hands-on Power BI experience, integrated with the Microsoft 365 ecosystem.
• Strong presentation and facilitation skills for diverse audiences.
• Excellent communication, writing, and critical thinking skills.
• Comfort with virtual collaboration tools such as Zoom and Teams.
• Experience working with individuals from diverse professional backgrounds.

Preferred Skills & Experience

• 3+ years in instructional design or training delivery.
• 5+ years in data and analytics disciplines.
• Experience in implementing enterprise-wide training programs.
• Knowledge of instructional design methodologies and LMS management.

Education

Required: Bachelor’s degree in a computational, mathematical, scientific, or data-related field.

Preferred: Master’s degree in business, education, data science, public health or similar, with Instructional Design Certification or UX Certification.
