You are outcome-driven, ask sharp questions, and thrive in a fast-paced environment. You possess deep backend expertise with the ability to lead frontend efforts when needed. You excel in system design, performance coding, and mentoring junior developers.

What You’ll Do

  • Architect, build, and maintain high-impact systems for the Data Journey team.
  • Design scalable microservices using Node.js or Java.
  • Develop robust frontend experiences with React.
  • Ensure solutions meet compliance standards such as HIPAA, SOC 2, and PCI DSS.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and mentor junior engineers.
  • Implement error handling, monitoring, and automated recovery mechanisms.
  • Design APIs for integration with enterprise systems and third-party services.

What We’re Looking For

Over 5 years of professional software development experience. Expertise in backend development using Node.js or Java, coupled with strong proficiency in React and modern JavaScript/TypeScript. Experience in building secure, scalable APIs and working with compliance frameworks is essential.

Bonus Points

  • Experience with event-driven architectures and Kafka.
  • Familiarity with orchestration frameworks like Temporal.

Salary Range

$160,000 - $180,000 CAD, subject to experience and location.
