Security Architect at Intel Corporation
The Client SOC Architecture team is actively seeking a Security Architect/Researcher. This role offers a dynamic and challenging environment, blending security assurance with the design of innovative security features. As an essential member of the SOC architecture team, you will gain exposure to every aspect of SOC architecture, as all features require security approval.
What You Will Do?
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Leading the development of the latest generation Intel SOCs.
- Defining hardware and firmware components to enhance Intel products with improved performance, lower power, cost efficiency, and elevated security.
- Conducting security analysis and threat assessment across the entire SOC architecture. This involves reviewing all new features for potential security impact and collaborating with feature owners to resolve any identified security issues.
- Defining new security features that integrate hardware, firmware, and software components, potentially leading to the development of intellectual property.
- Documenting the SOC security architecture and owning the architecture step of the Security Design Lifecycle process, including presenting the SOC security architecture to the Intel Security Forum for approval.
- Providing expert consultation to multiple design and validation teams on security issues and questions.
- Actively participating in Hackathons to identify potential vulnerabilities in IPs or features.
- Defining security validation requirements and approving comprehensive validation test plans.
- Responding promptly to customer requests for urgent features.
- Taking a proactive role in resolving security vulnerabilities discovered in existing products.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
To be considered for this position, candidates must meet the following minimum requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in SOC architecture and/or security design or validation.
Preferred Qualifications
Candidates possessing the following qualifications will be given preference:
- Experience in threat modeling.
- Firmware reverse engineering experience.
- Familiarity with crypto algorithms and their practical usages.
- Experience in secure development lifecycle methodologies.

Work Model for this Role
