Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Full Stack Engineer (Java & Cloud) to join a dynamic technology team focused on building modern, scalable, and cloud-native applications. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Java full stack development, cloud technologies, microservices, containerization, and DevOps practices. This role will collaborate with architects, developers, and business stakeholders to design, develop, and deploy highly available enterprise applications while driving cloud adoption and modernization initiatives.
This is an excellent opportunity for a senior engineer who enjoys solving complex technical challenges, leading cloud transformation efforts, and working in an Agile environment.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-scale Java full stack applications.
- Build cloud-native, scalable, secure, and resilient solutions using modern architecture principles.
- Develop RESTful APIs and microservices for enterprise applications.
- Collaborate with architects, developers, DevOps engineers, and business stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions.
- Participate in cloud migration, modernization, and Proof of Concept (PoC) initiatives.
- Design and implement containerized applications using Docker, Kubernetes, and OpenShift.
- Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and CI/CD automation pipelines.
- Develop modern web applications using Angular or React.
- Integrate applications with cloud services, API Gateways, and MuleSoft.
- Monitor and optimize application performance using ELK, Splunk, and CloudWatch.
- Ensure security best practices including IAM, OWASP standards, authentication, and authorization.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, refinement, reviews, and retrospectives.
- Mentor developers and provide technical leadership on cloud and application development initiatives.
- Create technical documentation including architecture diagrams, implementation plans, and deployment documentation.
- Support production deployments and troubleshoot application issues when required.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- 6+ years of hands-on software development experience.
- Strong experience developing Java Full Stack applications.
- Experience building cloud-native applications on AWS or similar cloud platforms.
- Strong knowledge of Microservices Architecture and REST API development.
- Experience with Spring Boot and enterprise Java technologies.
- Experience with Angular or React.
- Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and Red Hat OpenShift.
- Experience implementing Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
- Strong understanding of cloud architecture and modern application design patterns.
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins and automated deployment pipelines.
- Experience with Git/Subversion and Agile software development methodologies.
- Knowledge of monitoring and logging tools including ELK, Splunk, or CloudWatch.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Computer Science or related field.
- AWS Certified Developer or AWS Solutions Architect certification.
- Experience designing hybrid cloud solutions.
- Experience with Serverless Architecture and Cloud Reference Architectures.
- Knowledge of MuleSoft and API Gateway technologies.
- Experience with cloud security concepts including IAM, WAF, SAML, and OWASP.
- Experience mentoring engineering teams and serving as a technical SME.
- Financial services or capital markets industry experience is a plus.
- Experience leading cloud migration or modernization initiatives.
Technical Skill:
- Programming & Frameworks: Strong hands-on experience with Java, Spring Boot, RESTful API development, and Microservices Architecture, along with modern front-end technologies including Angular and React for building scalable, responsive web applications.
- Cloud Technologies: Extensive knowledge of AWS cloud services, cloud-native application architecture, serverless computing, hybrid cloud environments, cloud security best practices, and cloud migration strategies for enterprise applications.
- Containers & DevOps: Proficient in containerization and orchestration using Docker, Kubernetes, and Red Hat OpenShift (OCP), with practical experience implementing Infrastructure as Code (IaC), CI/CD pipelines, and deployment automation using Jenkins.
- Monitoring & Logging: Experience monitoring application performance and troubleshooting issues using Splunk, ELK Stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana), and AWS CloudWatch to ensure application reliability and operational excellence.
- Application Integration: Skilled in designing and integrating enterprise applications using REST APIs, API Gateway, and MuleSoft, enabling secure and scalable communication between distributed systems.
- Methodologies & Tools: Well-versed in Agile/Scrum methodologies and experienced using development and project management tools including Jira, Remedy, Deploy XL, Deploy Release, and Git/Subversion to support collaborative software development and continuous delivery.
