Key Responsibilities of a Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant
- Performs on-site screening clinical assessments to determine appropriate patient treatment plans of residents at client facilities by the completion of a comprehensive assessment
- Functions independently to perform age-appropriate history and physical for complex acute, critical, and chronically ill perioperative patients
- Orders and interprets diagnostic and therapeutic tests relative to patient’s age-specific needs
- Assists with the provision of care in accordance with facility, state, and federal regulations
- Monitors the effectiveness of interventions
- Maintains relationships with all appropriate contacts in facilities
- Educates family members, clients, and prospective accounts regarding services and programs
- Assists with the development and maintenance of physician relations, as assigned
- Completes weekly, monthly, and other reports, as assigned, in a timely and comprehensive manner
- Other Duties as assigned by Medical Director
Qualifications
- Current Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant License
- Degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant Program
- ACLS & BLS
- Current infection control certification
- Strong clinical collaboration with physicians
- Proficient computer skills
- PACS and EMR experience preferred
- Committed to professional growth and learning
- Clean driving record
- Personally owned vehicle required
- Local travel required
- Not listed on the OIG exclusion list
