Overview
At Instructure, we believe in the power of people to grow and succeed. The Senior Manager, Operations will lead the operational strategy and execution for our globally dispersed assessment content team, ensuring efficiency and scalability of our processes while fostering a culture of collaboration.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership & Budget Management: Manage comprehensive operational budgets, identify strategies to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
- Process Optimization: Drive process improvement initiatives, analyze workflows using Asana and Jira, and implement best practices.
- Team & Talent Development: Build, coach, and inspire an international operations team, including managing contractor relationships.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Serve as liaison between operations and other departments, ensuring alignment with product, engineering, and sales teams.
- Risk & Project Management: Identify, track, and resolve operational risks, and deliver executive-facing communications.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business, operations management or related field; PMP preferred.
- Minimum 5 years management experience with a strong track record in high-impact team building.
- Expertise in budget management, forecasting, and resource allocation.
- Proven ability in process improvement and strategic problem-solving.
- Experience in the education or ed-tech industry is highly desirable.
- Strong communication skills and a proactive, results-oriented mindset.
