As Instacart continues its rapid expansion, we are looking to add a Lead, Sales Development to our Brand Partnerships team. The Lead, Sales Development will be responsible for leading a team of Activation SDRs as they prospect and activate new brands at Instacart. The Lead, Sales Development will coach their team on sales best practices, data analysis, and the CPG, advertising and eCommerce landscape, as well as work cross functionally to grow the business. The ideal candidate is entrepreneurial, can work in a fast-paced environment, and has sales leadership experience in advertising (paid search a plus), CPG, or eCommerce.

About The Job

  • Lead and develop a team of high-performing Activation SDRs to achieve quarterly activation targets
  • Measure and track key business and industry trends
  • Activation, Team Lead - actively joining calls, developing and maintaining strong relationships with advertisers, managing all aspects of the sales cycle.
  • Conduct daily activities, including outbound calls, emails, and social selling in a fast-paced transactional environment.
  • Improve our sales process, collateral, and prospecting capabilities to make your team more effective and efficient
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to improve scalable processes to reach more brands faster

About You

Minimum Qualifications:

  • History of exceeding sales goals/quota
  • Experience in a sales management environment and or 3-4 years experience in a sales or business development role, preferably in the advertising industry.
  • History of developing early career professionals
  • Creative problem-solver

  • Track record of excelling cross functionally and in a high growth climate
  • Process and data driven with proven sales funnel optimization success
  • Demonstrated success implementing activity metrics and effectively coaching cold outreach

Compensation & Benefits

Instacart provides highly market-competitive compensation and benefits in each location where our employees work. This role is remote and the base pay range for a successful candidate is dependent on their permanent work location. Please review our Flex First remote work policy here.

Offers may vary based on many factors, such as candidate experience and skills required for the role. Additionally, this role is eligible for a new hire equity grant as well as annual refresh grants. Please read more about our benefits offerings here.

For US based candidates, the base pay ranges for a successful candidate are listed below.

  • CA, NY, CT, NJ: $104,000—$110,200 USD
  • WA: $100,000—$105,450 USD
  • OR, DE, ME, MA, MD, NH, RI, VT, DC, PA, VA, CO, TX, IL, HI: $96,000—$100,700 USD
  • All other states: $87,000—$92,150 USD
