The Agentic Commerce team is building innovative AI solutions such as Cart Assistant, an enterprise-grade shopping agent that offers hyper-personalized conversational commerce experiences.
Role Summary
The Principal Product Manager will lead the creation and launch of Cart Assistant, working at the intersection of generative AI, consumer experience, and retailer-facing B2B e-commerce. In this fast-paced 0 to 1 role, you will define a clear vision, set a roadmap, and partner across engineering, machine learning, data science, design, and research teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Set and own the product roadmap based on consumer and retailer needs.
- Lead product discovery by identifying pain points and market opportunities.
- Drive measurable adoption, engagement, and business impact.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to execute rapid experiments and iterative improvements.
- Represent the product to senior leadership and external retail partners.
- Align product strategy with GTM teams and scale the solution across multiple Instacart surfaces.
About You
You have over 8 years in product management with 5+ years in consumer-focused commerce products. You bring technical fluency in AI/ML, a proven track record launching 0-to-1 products, and exceptional communication skills to engage both internal teams and external enterprise partners. A technical or quantitative background enhances your ability to translate complex needs into effective product strategies.
Compensation & Work Arrangement
Instacart offers market-competitive compensation, including equity and annual refresh grants. This role is remote and currently available for candidates based in Ontario, Alberta, British Columbia, and Nova Scotia, Canada.
