Overview of the Associate Product Manager Program

Instacart is actively recruiting for its next Associate Product Manager (APM) program class, designed to jumpstart early careers in product management. As an APM, you will gain hands-on product management experience, addressing user challenges across various teams within Instacart.

The APM program spans 18 months, divided into two rotations. You'll gain experience across key Instacart teams, including Core Experience, Platform, Marketplace, Connected Stores, and Ads. We are seeking highly motivated individuals for the class commencing in August 2026.

An Instacart Product Manager combines principled thinking, strong product sense, and technical depth. PMs take ownership of their product, leading cross-functional teams to iteratively bring ideas to fruition. They maintain a customer-first attitude and consistently deliver impactful products and features informed by data and user research.

About The Job

  • Responsible for the end-to-end success from discovery to launch of new products and features
  • Collaborate with Design, Engineering, Marketing, Data Science, Legal, and Analytics teams
  • Identify new growth opportunities through quantitative research, case studies, and reviews of industry-standard methodologies
  • Apply creative solutions, lead the work, and reinvent what is possible in a constantly evolving environment
  • Influence crucial team members throughout Instacart to align intent, resources, and prioritization
  • Specialize in Instacart’s strategic position in the grocery industry as we continue to craft the way for the online grocery and e-commerce industries

About You

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university
  • 2 years of working experience in technology, consulting, or banking
  • Exhibit a deep passion for technology and product design - either from a technical degree, personal projects, or experience in business, strategy, or software-related roles.
  • Demonstrated ability to come up with product solutions for customer pain points.
  • Leadership potential and natural ability to influence and empower diverse teams.

Instacart offers market-competitive compensation and benefits. This is a remote role, with base pay dependent on permanent work location. Instacart currently hires in the Canadian provinces of Ontario, Alberta, British Columbia, and Nova Scotia.
