About AI Engineer Senior or Junior
InSpline, a pre-seed fully remote AI startup revolutionizing healthcare automation, invites applications for AI Engineer roles. The team is led by 5 industry veterans offering deep expertise in AI, system architecture, and healthcare. Work with engineers who have proven track records on HIPAA-compliant AI backends using modern LLMs and agentic workflows.

Core Responsibilities
- Design and implement healthcare autonomous agent workflows.
- Build LLM-based planning and execution architectures.
- Develop document AI pipelines including OCR and layout analysis.
- Create Voice Agents integrating STT, TTS, and LLMs.
- Establish evaluation frameworks and observability systems.
- Collaborate on backend integration and data interfaces.
- Ensure security and compliance with PHI/PII safety designs.
Required Skills
Demonstrated production backend engineering (Python, FastAPI, Celery), applied LLM deployment, and system design experience. Candidates must have deep expertise in either Document Intelligence (OCR, PDF parsing) or Conversational AI (STT/TTS pipelines) with willingness to cross-collaborate.
Good to Have
- Healthcare domain knowledge including insurance and medical terminology.
- Experience with advanced AI models, voice automation, and workflow orchestration.
- Knowledge of Vector DBs, RAG, and HIPAA compliance.
- Focus on cost and performance optimization.
