We prioritize the Headliner experience, creating events that captivate the senses and foster unique fan interaction. Insomniac produces over 10,000 concerts, club nights, and festivals annually, reaching seven million attendees globally across five continents and 13 countries. Our flagship event, Electric Daisy Carnival Las Vegas, is the world's largest dance music festival. Founded in 1993 and based in Los Angeles, Insomniac is dedicated to bringing people together through the power of music.

The Role

The Talent Buyer will be instrumental in supporting and executing all facets of talent booking for Insomniac's festivals. This role encompasses managing music booking from start to finish, including budgets, scheduling, contracts, promotion, marketing, ticket sales, daily administrative reporting, and staff and production coordination. Please note, this is not a remote position and requires willingness to relocate to Los Angeles, CA.

Responsibilities

  • Support the VP, Concerts & Talent Buyer in all festival, rave, and concert bookings.
  • Assist in curating diverse and exciting show lineups.
  • Manage day-to-day administrative tasks such as approving contracts, following up on offers, coordinating with marketing for assets, and proofreading grids and set times.
  • Execute the annual business plan for events, ensuring all targeted goals are met.
  • Maintain and develop current promotional partnerships both domestically and internationally.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong venue relationships.
  • Collaborate with artists and their management to explore new hard ticket or touring opportunities.
  • Execute strategic brand planning to accelerate brand growth and achieve objectives.
  • Analyze market trends, both current and future, to identify emerging opportunities for short-term and long-term strategic advantage.
  • Field calls for the Talent Buyer and manage follow-up correspondence.
  • Partner with the Production and Operations teams on budget development, settlements, and site advancements for each show.
  • Attend and work company events, including domestic and international travel (economy class).
  • Assist with other assigned duties on an occasional or regular basis.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in talent curation, promotions, or business development within the music entertainment industry.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Must possess a clean criminal and driving record, a valid driver’s license, passport, and car insurance.

Work Environment

Candidates must be able to tolerate loud noise levels and busy environments. Work may occur in various temperature climates onsite at our shows. Willingness to travel and work during evening and weekend hours is required.

Applicants for employment in the U.S. must possess work authorization that does not require sponsorship by Insomniac for a visa.
