About The Role
We are seeking a Data Solutions Architect with deep expertise in Microsoft Fabric to lead the design of modern, unified analytics platforms. This role focuses on architecting end-to-end data solutions using Fabric’s lakehouse-first approach, enabling scalable analytics, reporting, and AI use cases. You will act as a technical leader and trusted advisor, owning architecture decisions from discovery through delivery, and helping teams fully leverage Fabric’s integrated experiences across data engineering, analytics, and governance.
Responsibilities
- Design and govern end-to-end data architectures built on Microsoft Fabric.
- Lead solution design using Fabric Lakehouses, Warehouses, OneLake, and Semantic Models.
- Define ingestion and transformation patterns using Fabric Data Pipelines, Dataflows Gen2, and Spark.
- Architect analytics and reporting solutions with Power BI and Fabric Semantic Models.
- Establish best practices for workspace design, security, governance, and performance in Fabric.
- Partner with stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable Fabric-based solutions.
- Guide delivery teams on Fabric native patterns, avoiding legacy architecture anti-patterns.
- Produce clear architecture artifacts, diagrams, and technical design documentation.
- Act as a technical authority for Fabric during planning, delivery, and architecture reviews.
- Stay current on Fabric roadmap features and platform evolution.
Required Skills & Experience
- 7+ years of experience in data engineering, analytics, or data architecture roles.
- Demonstrated experience as a Data Solutions Architect or Data Architect on enterprise platforms.
- Hands-on experience designing and delivering solutions using Microsoft Fabric.
- Strong understanding of lakehouse architecture and modern analytics patterns.
- Experience with Fabric notebooks (Spark), SQL endpoints, and semantic modeling.
- Deep knowledge of Power BI integration within Fabric, including security and performance.
- Strong SQL skills and experience with dimensional and semantic data modeling.
- Ability to communicate architectural decisions clearly to technical and business audiences.
- Experience working closely with engineering, BI, and platform teams.
Certifications
- Microsoft Fabric Analytics Engineer (DP 700) or equivalent preferred.
- Power BI, Azure Data, or related Microsoft certifications a plus.
Travel & Work Environment
- Fully remote work environment (US based).
- Occasional travel may be required for stakeholder or client engagements.
