Data Engineer III - Power BI
Insight is seeking a skilled Data Engineer III with mandatory Microsoft Power BI & Fabric experience and hands-on data engineering skills. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in developing complex Power BI dashboards, utilizing Power Automate, and working with Fabric pipelines. Experience with client projects, a strong Azure Data Engineering background, and the ability to design and deliver enterprise-scale data solutions are essential.

Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop advanced, interactive Power BI dashboards and reports for complex business scenarios.
- Build robust tabular models and star schemas, optimize DAX measures, and ensure performance at scale.
- Integrate Power BI reports and Fabric data assets with Power Apps / Power Platform components.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand requirements, iterate on prototypes, and deliver production-grade solutions.
- Design and implement Power Automate flows to orchestrate business processes, data refreshes, notifications, and approvals.
- Leverage Azure data services (Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Azure Data Lake Storage, Azure SQL) in conjunction with Fabric.
- Work on data integration, transformation, and warehousing to support reporting and advanced analytics.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business needs into scalable Fabric-based data solutions.
- Ensure high-performance, secure, and compliant data solutions.
- Mentor junior engineers on Power BI, Fabric, Databricks, and ADF best practices.
- Provide architectural input for enterprise cloud data platforms.
Required Skills & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
- 6+ years of experience in data engineering, including 5+ years of hands-on experience with Power BI, Azure Databricks, ADF.
- Minimum 1 year of mandatory hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric, demonstrated through client project implementations.
- Strong experience in data modeling, data architecture, and database design.
- Proficiency in SQL, Python, and PySpark.
- Familiarity with data governance, security, and compliance practices, with hands-on experience in tools such as Microsoft Purview or Unity Catalog.
- Experience with Azure DevOps CI/CD for data solutions.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to lead teams.
