About the Insight Public Sector Data & AI Intern Program
Insight is excited to announce our 2026 Summer Internship program! We are looking for motivated rising college seniors to join our 10-week, full-time, paid internship starting on June 1, 2026.

Basic Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in an accredited Undergraduate degree program in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- Available for the full internship duration from June 1 to August 7, 2026
- Self-motivated, eager to learn, and detail-oriented
- Ability to work a hybrid schedule on-site at our Charlotte office
Responsibilities of a Data & AI Intern
Interns will gain hands-on experience with Microsoft AI and Data technologies while supporting client-facing and internal projects. Activities may include:
- Exploring and building AI solutions using Microsoft Copilot and Prompt Engineering best practices.
- Designing and automating workflows with the Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI).
- Writing and optimizing SQL queries and basic programming scripts to support data analysis and integration tasks.
- Applying Azure AI Fundamentals knowledge to develop proof-of-concept solutions.
- Using Git version control to collaborate on code and manage project files.
- Participating in structured problem-solving sessions to address technical challenges.
- Engaging in proactive learning to stay current with emerging AI and data technologies.
Required Skills
- Understanding of core programming concepts and SQL.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Copilot and AI-assisted productivity tools.
- Experience or coursework in the Power Platform.
- Knowledge of Azure AI Fundamentals concepts.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work through structured solution approaches.
- Proactive learner with curiosity for new technologies.
- Ability to use Git version control for collaborative development.
- Strong team player with the ability to collaborate and work independently.
