Instructor, Ultrasound Fellow
The Division of Hospital Medicine in the Department of Medicine at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania is seeking candidates for several Instructor positions in the Academic Support Staff. This appointment will initially be for one (1) year, with continuation during that period and renewal based on satisfactory performance and availability of funding, limited to a total of three (3) years. Applicants must possess an M.D. or equivalent degree, and Board certification or eligibility in General Internal Medicine or Family Medicine is required.
Responsibilities for this Instructor, Ultrasound Fellow role may include nights and weekends at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, Penn Presbyterian Medical Center, and/or Good Shepherd Penn Partners Long Term Acute Care Hospital (LTACH).
The successful applicant will have a unique opportunity to receive mentorship and structured career development within Hospital Medicine. The application and recruitment process will be handled in collaboration with the Department of Emergency Medicine.
This Instructor position in Hospital Medicine is part of a distinctive non-ACGME fellowship program developed with the Department of Emergency Medicine. The incumbent will receive comprehensive didactic and clinical training in ultrasound, while simultaneously working clinically as an attending physician on hospital medicine services.
Qualifications
Applicants must have an M.D. or equivalent degree. Board certification or eligibility in General Internal Medicine or Family Medicine is required.
