Role Overview
The Assistant Director, Gift Administration at Penn Medicine reports to the Associate Director, Gifts Administration and manages the Sr. Gifts Administration staff. This role oversees daily gift processing, manages problematic gifts, produces acknowledgment communications including notice-of-contribution letters, and ensures donor intent is fulfilled.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop system and policy expertise in gift and development processes.
- Manage review and processing of gifts for multiple health system entities.
- Operate critical systems such as Compass, BEN Financials, and others.
- Troubleshoot and adjust problematic gift transactions.
- Oversee online acknowledgements and coordinate third party event donations.
Qualifications
Required credentials include a Bachelor of Science/Arts and 2-3 years experience in a development setting; five to seven years preferred. Strong computer skills with proficiency in Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint are essential, as is the ability to handle confidential information and manage priorities both independently and within a team.
