Chief of Staff at Input Output Group
The Chief of Staff to the CEO ('CoS') at Input Output Group serves a pivotal role encompassing three primary functions: strategic support to the CEO, key project management and strategic planning, and communication and coordination. This position is instrumental in enhancing the CEO’s operational effectiveness by providing coordinated oversight and execution support across various internal initiatives and critical business priorities. The CoS acts as a true partner, ensuring the CEO is thoroughly prepared with all necessary information and materials for strategic decision-making, while always maintaining strict confidentiality.
This role involves extensive collaboration across the business and with external stakeholders, representing the CEO to build crucial networks and partnerships. The CoS will, when delegated, act on behalf of the CEO, making decisions within their defined authority and leveraging their subject matter expertise. Furthermore, the Chief of Staff translates strategic decisions into actionable plans, clearly mapping out projects, tracking their progress, and promptly addressing or highlighting any concerns or deviations to the CEO. This is a highly visible and high-profile position within the company and the broader community, emphasizing strong communication, organizational skills, and execution capabilities.
Frequent travel is an integral part of this role, involving participation in executive meetings and attendance at internal and external events and workshops, ensuring the CEO remains fully informed even when not present.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Planning & Execution
- Lead the design and execution of strategic initiatives, particularly those with technical, legal, or regulatory complexities.
- Translate the CEO’s vision into structured action plans, track progress meticulously, and remove barriers to execution across various functions.
- Apply rigorous engineering or legal frameworks to analyze risks, identify opportunities, and significantly enhance operational efficiency.
CEO Enablement & Communication
- Develop high-quality briefing documents, concise talking points, and comprehensive agendas for the CEO’s internal and external engagements, including investor forums, board meetings, and regulatory discussions.
- Act as an extension of the CEO in high-stakes environments, advising on strategic decisions, standing in for the CEO when appropriate, and representing the CEO’s perspective with authority and accuracy.
- Facilitate CEO effectiveness by proactively anticipating needs, adeptly managing sensitive issues, and ensuring consistent follow-through on all key actions.
Key Competencies
- Extensive experience in engineering and law (or similar disciplines requiring structured problem-solving, systems thinking, regulatory fluency, and strategic insight).
- Demonstrates unwavering personal and professional integrity, sound judgment, and discretion in handling sensitive matters.
- Possesses a strategic mindset with the ability to focus on operational details while simultaneously driving enterprise-wide outcomes.
- Applies analytical rigor and structured thinking, derived from legal or engineering backgrounds, to solve complex problems.
- Experience working in a fast-moving tech organization (Web3 experience is a plus) and understanding (direct experience is a bonus) of working in a tech role.
- Experience working with AI and utilizing AI to augment workplace efficiencies.
- In-depth knowledge of Crypto/programmable economies.
- Communicates with exceptional clarity and confidence across diverse technical, legal, and business stakeholders.
- Offers strategic counsel while constructively challenging assumptions and helping refine critical decisions.
- Operates independently and proactively in high-pressure, fast-changing environments.

Education / Experience
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degrees in engineering, law, or business (MBA/PhD) highly preferred.
- 8–10+ years of experience in a high-performance environment (e.g., management consulting, legal advisory, technical program leadership, VC/private equity, or regulated industry roles).
- Proven experience supporting C-level executives, with significant exposure to complex decision-making, governance, or technical domains.
- Strong familiarity with the Web3 ecosystem, including blockchain, decentralization, tokenomics, or governance models.
- Demonstrated success in leading cross-functional initiatives, integrating legal/technical insight into executive planning.
- Willingness and ability to travel extensively (domestic and international) approximately 20% of the time to global locations.
