Role Overview

As a Data Architect at InPost, you will lead the design and implementation of a global data model aimed at creating robust, scalable, and future-proof data ecosystems. You will be responsible for strategizing the architecture design, ensuring high performance for vast data volumes, and setting consistent naming conventions, all while aligning technical solutions with business needs.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute data architecture strategy for the global data model.
  • Establish and enforce data naming conventions and harmonization across markets.
  • Collaborate with senior stakeholders to drive and prioritize data initiatives.
  • Stay informed on emerging data architecture trends and implement innovative solutions.
  • Train and mentor data engineering teams on data modeling approaches.
  • Create comprehensive technical documentation detailing the data solutions.

Requirements

  • Minimum 6 years of experience in data/analytics engineering.
  • At least 2 years of experience as a Data Architect.
  • Expertise in SQL with advanced knowledge of Python, Spark, Databricks, Azure, and DBT.
  • Experience in designing modern big data warehouses and data lakehouses, using star schema and Kimball approach.
  • Deep understanding of medallion architecture and Big Data & Analytics solutions.
  • Experience in query optimization, ETL processes, and high-performance data storage solutions.
  • Familiarity with Parquet, Delta Lake, CI/CD, and version control (GitLab preferred).
  • Proficiency in both Polish and English; strong communication and collaboration skills.

Bonus Skills

  • Knowledge of BI tools (Power BI, Tableau).
  • Experience with data governance (using Unity Catalog), data quality frameworks, and metadata management.
  • Expertise in role-based access control (RBAC) and data encryption to meet regulatory compliance.
  • Adept at presenting technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
