About the Role

The role tackles legacy issues in patient care by leveraging healthcare data to build algorithms that personalize treatments. You will define and build the next generation of predictive analytics tools, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams.

A Day in the Life

  • Design, develop, and maintain robust backend systems using Python, Django, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, Redis, Elasticsearch, and other technologies.
  • Collaborate with product managers, frontend engineers, and stakeholders to shape technical solutions.
  • Develop efficient APIs and microservices for frontend applications and external integrations.
  • Implement data models, design database schemas, and execute database optimizations.
  • Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code adhering to industry best practices.
  • Conduct code reviews and offer constructive feedback.
  • Troubleshoot complex technical issues ensuring system reliability and security.

What You Need

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • 3–5 years of backend engineering experience with Node.js (Fastify, Koa, Express) in production-grade systems.
  • Proficiency in designing, developing, and maintaining REST/GraphQL APIs.
  • Experience with database schema design, query optimization, SQL/NoSQL scaling.
  • Understanding of distributed systems, caching strategies like Redis, and message queues such as Kafka and RabbitMQ.
  • Hands-on experience with testing frameworks, CI/CD, and DevOps workflows.
  • Exposure to building LLM-driven applications, AI frameworks, and designing RAG pipelines using vector databases.
  • Working knowledge of AWS or GCP cloud services.
  • Strong problem-solving, debugging skills and the ability to work cross-functionally.
  • Excellent communication skills and a data-driven mindset.
