About the Role

This combined technical and customer-facing role is for the Robotics & Physical AI Solutions Architect. The role focuses on systems that perceive, reason, and act in the physical world. The candidate will translate real-world robotics and embodied-AI challenges into valuable datasets, pipelines, and evaluation strategies, and will act as a trusted technical partner to customers.

Key Responsibilities

• Design Physical AI problem formulations for robotic behavior and data requirements.
• Prototype perception, world-model, and action-representation pipelines.
• Utilize simulation and synthetic environments to generate and stress-test datasets.
• Collaborate with customers to define data specifications and evaluation benchmarks.
• Lead technical discovery, pre-sales pilots, and secure technical wins.
• Work with internal teams to build robust data pipelines and QA processes.
• Develop playbooks and demos for common Physical-AI use cases.
• Influence product roadmap with feedback from frontier robotics customers.
• Represent Innodata at industry events and workshops.

What We’re Looking For

• Strong background in robotics, computer vision, or embodied/Physical AI.
• Systems-level thinking from physical tasks to model behavior and metrics.
• Experience with world models, imitation learning, simulation workflows, or synthetic data.
• 3+ years of hands-on development in Python and another language (C++/Java, etc.).
• Comfort with ambiguous problem spaces and rapid MVP solution development.
• Clear technical communication and customer-facing skills.
• Strong project management and ownership skills.

Nice to Have

• Experience with real robotic platforms or advanced simulators/digital twins.
• Expertise in designing large-scale datasets and evaluation pipelines.
• Past solutions-engineering, pre-sales, or consulting experience in frontier robotics.
• Contributions to open-source projects, technical blogs, or publications.
