The Core Infrastructure Engineering Team

Join the Core Infrastructure Engineering Team at Ink Fndn (Kraken), dedicated to building and managing a robust, secure, scalable, and cost-effective infrastructure. This infrastructure ensures low-latency, high-throughput, and resilience, crucial for delivering software and platform solutions efficiently to stakeholders and clients.

As a Senior Technical Project Manager - Core Infrastructure, you will support cross-functional engineering teams in the successful planning, execution, and delivery of mission-critical projects. You will collaborate with Engineering, Product, IT, Compliance, and Security stakeholders, ensuring alignment, visibility, and scalability across initiatives. This role requires strategic systems thinking and meticulous attention to detail, covering infrastructure, orchestration, compliance, security, databases, and internal tooling, utilizing both Agile and waterfall approaches.

Key Responsibilities and Opportunities

Project Management & Execution

• Drive end-to-end execution of complex, cross-functional technical projects within engineering, security, compliance, and datacenter operations.
• Build and manage comprehensive project plans, roadmaps, dashboards, and release timelines.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams around strategic priorities and desired outcomes.
• Identify dependencies, proactively manage risks, and unblock teams through creative problem-solving.
• Facilitate meetings, retrospectives, and planning sessions; lead planning for major initiatives and stakeholder coordination.
• Track KPIs and project health via metrics and dashboards, continually refining reporting for clarity and impact.
• Manage intake workflows (feature requests, support channels, KTLO) to ensure efficient and timely request resolution.

Cross-Team Collaboration & Communication

• Partner with Engineering Managers, Engineering Leads, and Product Managers to align on requirements, timelines, and project planning.
• Communicate effectively across technical and non-technical audiences, including executives, providing clear summaries and actionable insights.
• Work closely with external vendors as needed, ensuring compliance and adherence to technical standards.

Process Improvement & Tooling

• Improve internal workflows through enhanced Atlassian workflows, AI, automation, self-service, and consistent reporting mechanisms.
• Drive continuous improvement by identifying inefficiencies and recommending scalable process changes.
• Cultivate a high-performing team environment by sharing project management best practices across teams.

Skills You Should Possess

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a similar technical field.
• 5+ years of experience as an Engineering Manager or Technical Project Manager for Infrastructure, Platforms, DevOps, or SRE teams.
• Strong technical acumen, with experience in engineering, infrastructure, security, developer experience, or networking, ideally within fintech environments.
• A data-driven mindset for measuring process and system effectiveness to inform decisions.
• Demonstrated ability to leverage AI technologies for script generation and workflow automation, enabling efficient internal tool development and scaling.
• Proficient with Atlassian Suite (Jira, Confluence, Jira Product Discovery), Slack workflows, and other PM tools.
• Experienced in both Agile and waterfall methodologies, with the judgment to apply context-dependent approaches.
• Excellent communicator, capable of synthesizing complex ideas into clear project plans and status updates.
• Self-starter with a proven track record of independently driving initiatives to completion.
• Curious, adaptable, eager to experiment, and comfortable navigating ambiguity and shifting priorities in a dynamic industry.
• Strong sense of discretion and data sensitivity, particularly in security and compliance domains.
