Senior Analyst, Research Analytics

Profile

Previous experience in building data science based products is a big advantage. Experience in handling healthcare data is desired.

Educational Qualification

Bachelors / Masters in computer science or related subjects from reputable institution

Typical Experience

• 3-5 years industry experience in developing data science models and solutions.
• Able to quickly pick up new programming languages, technologies, and frameworks.
• Strong understanding of data structures and algorithms.
• Ability to work in a start-up environment with a do-it-yourself attitude.

Skill and Expertise

• Expert level proficiency in Python and SQL.
• Working knowledge of Relational SQL and NoSQL databases, including Postgres and Redshift.
• Exposure to open source tools & cloud platforms like AWS and Azure, including Athena, Sagemaker, and machine learning libraries.
• Exposure to big data processing technologies like PySpark and SparkSQL.
• Exposure to AI tools and LLM models like Llama (ChatGPT, Bard) and prompt engineering.
• Exposure to visualization tools like Tableau and PowerBI.

Primary Responsibility

• Provide technical expertise to the team.
• Lead all phases of model development including EDA, hypothesis testing, feature creation, dimensionality reduction, data clean-up, training, model selection, validation, and deployment.
• Participate and lead solution design discussions.
• Deep understanding of statistical & machine learning methods including logistic regression, SVM, decision tree, random forest, neural networks, and optimization techniques.
• Apply mathematical expertise in correlation/causation, classification, recommendation systems, probability, stochastic processes, NLP, and related implementations to business problems.
• Gain business understanding in the healthcare domain to develop relevant analytics use cases (e.g., HEOR, RWE, Survival modelling).
• Familiarity with NLP, sentiment analysis, text mining, and data scraping solutions.
