Audit Intern Position at Ingram Barge Company

Ingram Industries is seeking an Audit Intern to join our team in Nashville, TN. This hybrid internship offers a mix of in-office and remote work, providing valuable work experience prior to completing your college degree.

This internship provides insight into both Financial/Operational and Information Systems/Technology auditing. Interns work directly with the Internal Audit department to complete projects that apply classroom instruction to practical scenarios.

What you will be doing:

  • Assist in year-end direct work with external auditors.
  • Document and test key business processes and functions.
  • Evaluate operations like distribution center inventory management.
  • Develop automated data analysis routines for audits.
  • Assist with IT general controls reviews such as change management.
  • Participate in all project management phases from planning to recommendations.

Interns are expected to work independently and remain online during scheduled hours while performing additional related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, or Information Systems.
  • Must have completed or be enrolled in intermediate level courses.
  • Minimum “B” overall average (3.0/4.0 scale).
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information confidentially.
