Overview
At ING Mortgages NL, the Chapter Lead API Engineer plays a pivotal role in developing complex systems at scale within one of the biggest players in the Dutch Mortgages market. You will help realize the digitalization vision and grow engineering expertise in state of the art backend development.

Roles and Responsibilities
- Drive the API engineering strategy and backend development.
- Coach and mentor engineers to elevate their skills.
- Collaborate in leadership teams to shape area-wide visions.
- Ensure continuous improvement in business applications, monitoring, and alerting using REST APIs.
- Oversee build & deployment processes with Azure DevOps and automation using Ansible.
How to Succeed
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field.
- 10+ years of engineering experience in Java microservices.
- Experience with SQL databases, file transfer, monitoring, and alerting tools.
- Familiar with IT-Risk, Security Standards in banking, Agile methodologies, and automated testing.
