About the Role
At ING Australia, the Information Security Engineer builds secure solutions on a global scale. Reporting to the Senior Tech Operations Manager, you will define and enforce information security requirements, mentor teams on secure-by-design principles, manage risks, and promote a robust security culture.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead security integration across the Tribe by translating requirements into actionable tasks
- Act as the Security SME collaborating to mitigate IT-related risks
- Identify gaps against standards and implement security improvements
- Mentor teams on DevSecOps and security best practices
- Provide expert security consultancy across business and IT levels
What We’re Looking For
- 7+ years in information security engineering
- Expertise in cryptography, incident response, network security, and IAM
- Proficient in secure coding (Java, Python) with embedded security controls
- Understanding of banking systems, compliance, and regulatory frameworks
- Experience in agile environments and distributed teams
- Relevant certifications such as OSCP or equivalent
