Job Description
Position Summary
Infosys Public Services is seeking an AWS DevOps Administrator/Engineer to join our team, focusing on the deployment, maintenance, and management of AWS-based production systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Deploy, maintain, and manage AWS-based production systems.
- Design and implement automation for operational workflows and CI/CD pipelines.
- Ensure systems are highly available, secure, and scalable.
- Manage release processes, configuration, and version control of production environments.
- Provide primary support for cloud and enterprise deployments.
- Lead cross-functional teams in designing, testing, and deploying software updates.
- Identify and automate manual processes to improve efficiency.
- Create, maintain, and enhance cloud infrastructure using infrastructure-as-code tools.
- Create, maintain, and enhance CI/CD pipelines using pipeline-as-code tools.
- Troubleshoot issues across diverse application domains and platforms.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to strengthen platform and application security.
- Develop and enforce policies and standards for CI/CD environments.
- Evaluate emerging technologies to improve enterprise systems.
- Recommend architectural and process improvements to enhance system performance and reliability.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- 4+ years of experience in AWS environment operation and management.
- Proven experience with AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, etc.).
- Proficiency in automation tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible).
- Proficiency in programming/scripting languages (Python, Java, React, Bash, PowerShell).
- Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI).
- Strong understanding of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes, Helm).
- Strong knowledge of application security, including authentication/authorization, OIDC.
- Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (CloudWatch, ELK, Prometheus).
- Knowledge of security best practices and IAM policies.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to lead and mentor teams in DevOps practices.
Educational Requirements
A bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent is required from an accredited institution. Three years of progressive, relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of one year of education. Candidates who have completed a Master's degree program are strongly preferred.
Work Environment
The job entails sitting and working at a computer for extended periods. Communication by telephone, email, or face-to-face is essential. Travel may be required as per job requirements.
