Job Description
About Infogain
Infogain is a leader in digital customer experience engineering, headquartered in Silicon Valley with design and build centers globally. We empower companies across the travel, retail, insurance, and tech verticals, accelerating their experience-led transformation through the delivery of digital platforms leveraging technologies such as cloud, microservices, automation, IoT, and artificial intelligence.
The Opportunity: Technical Product Manager - AI and Data Modernization
We are actively building an industrial-grade platform designed to automate the modernization of vast legacy data estates. This isn't a role for a 'Prompt Engineer' or a typical backlog administrator; we are developing a system that transcends simple code generation, aiming to deeply understand structure and logic through a Neuro-Symbolic approach. As a Technical Product Manager, you will operate in a hands-on environment, expertly bridging the gap between rapid technical prototyping and structured product delivery.
You will collaborate directly with the Product Owner and Architecture leadership to define the product roadmap, transforming internal tools and nascent concepts into a cohesive, market-ready platform.
The Challenge
Current Generative AI tools excel at creativity but often fall short on the strict logical consistency demanded by enterprise data systems. Your primary challenge will be to help us craft a product that skillfully balances the flexibility inherent in AI with the crucial reliability required in engineering. This role operates on an aggressive delivery schedule with high visibility, requiring a Product Manager capable of driving a product from initial prototype to a Minimum Viable Product (MVP) within a six-month timeframe. You will be instrumental in taking existing proof-of-concepts, developed by hands-on technical leaders, and operationalizing them into a scalable product, all while coordinating closely with engineering leadership on execution and UI/UX design.
What You Will Do
- Roadmap & Execution: Translate high-level architectural goals into a concrete, prioritized backlog. You will drive the product from its current prototype phase to MVP, strictly managing scope to achieve critical targets.
- Prototype to Product: Work with the technical creators of our robust internal tools for ingestion and rule extraction. Your role is to refine these into user-facing features, ensuring they solve actual business problems without losing their innovative edge.
- The "Human-in-the-Loop" Workflow: Design the comprehensive user journey for complex migrations. Recognizing that 100% automation is rarely feasible, you will define how the system flags ambiguities and how users effectively interact with the AI to validate logic.
- Technical Alignment: Serve as the crucial link among diverse technical stakeholders – hands-on developers, structured engineering leads, and architectural oversight – ensuring everyone is unified towards a singular product vision.
What We Need (Must Haves)
- Technical Fluency: You must be comfortable engaging in deep technical discussions. While you don't need to write the compiler, a clear understanding of the distinction between parsing code (e.g., ASTs, Dependency Graphs) and generating code (e.g., LLMs) is essential.
- Domain Experience: Possess 5+ years of experience in Product Management, specifically within Data, DevTools, or Enterprise Software. A solid understanding of the complexities associated with legacy systems (e.g., Stored Procedures, ETL pipelines) is required.
- MVP Mindset: Demonstrate a proven ability to deliver value rapidly. You can clearly differentiate between 'cool technology' and a 'critical feature,' and are comfortable making scope cuts to meet aggressive deadlines.
- Adaptability: Thrive in fast-paced, dynamic environments where roles may evolve. You are adept at collaborating with strong technical personalities to achieve objectives.
Preferred Experience
- Experience with Data Warehouse or Database Migration products.
- Familiarity with 'Agentic' workflows or tools (e.g., LangChain, autonomous agents).
- Background in working with internal tooling or platform engineering teams.
