Position Purpose

The Director IT Research Financial Services is responsible for delivering Info-Tech’s research projects and advisory services to clients in banking, insurance, and capital markets. This role combines deep financial services knowledge with a research-driven approach to guide IT and business leaders in digital transformation, regulatory compliance, and technology modernization.

What You Will Do

Research & Industry Insights: Conduct expert interviews, regulatory analysis, and market scanning. Identify emerging trends in fintech, AI in financial services, open banking, and ESG reporting. Develop structured frameworks, methodologies, and tools tailored for financial institutions, shaping a robust research agenda.

Advisory Calls with Clients: Lead one-on-one calls with financial services executives, translating published research into actionable guidance. Identify research gaps and opportunities for new content development.

Facilitate Workshops: Guide financial services clients through strategic planning using Info-Tech’s research and decision-making tools to ensure practical, measurable outcomes.

Cross-Departmental Collaboration & Thought Leadership: Partner with Advisory, Workshops, and Global Services teams. Provide subject matter expertise to Sales, Marketing, and Events. Represent Info-Tech at industry events with thought leadership presentations.

What You Will Need

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher or equivalent experience in Finance, Business, or Information Systems.
  • Professional certifications like CFA, FRM, PMP are assets.
  • 5–10+ years of IT leadership, consulting, or industry analysis experience in financial services.
  • Flexibility to travel globally and after-hours availability for APAC support.

Domain Expertise

Experience in retail/wholesale banking, credit union operations, investment banking, asset and wealth management, and cybersecurity in financial institutions.
