Position Overview
Infleqtion, a global quantum technology company, is seeking a technically exceptional and mission-driven Chief Engineer - Quantum Aerospace. This role will lead the end-to-end technical execution of a cutting-edge space payload development program in our Louisville, CO office.
Key Responsibilities
- Technical Authority & Leadership: Own program system design, make final technical decisions, and drive risk mitigations.
- System Design & Integration: Oversee design activities ensuring proper system decomposition, integration, and compliance with mission needs.
- Verification & Test Readiness: Approve V&V strategies, test plans, and readiness of the system for major campaigns.
- Risk Management: Identify and resolve high-impact technical risks and anomalies.
- Stakeholder Interface: Represent the technical team in key program and customer reviews.
- Team Leadership: Provide technical mentorship to subsystem leads and foster a high-performance engineering culture.
- Compliance & Standards: Ensure adherence to aerospace engineering and quality standards (NASA/ESA, AS9100, etc.).
- Programmatic Support: Work with Program Manager on cost, schedule, and strategic technology roadmapping.
Required & Preferred Qualifications
Candidates should have a Bachelor’s degree in a related field with 8+ years of aerospace engineering experience, including significant technical leadership. A Master’s or Ph.D. is preferred along with expertise in space system payloads, MBSE tools, and system testing environments.

- Architecture & Modeling: Cameo, Rhapsody, SysML/UML
- Analysis: Ansys/STK, COMSOL, python, FEA tools
- Configuration: JIRA, Risk Registers, FMEA
