Job Overview

INESC TEC is seeking a Microelectronics & Electronics Researcher with a focus on promoting training initiatives and fostering collaboration between academia and industry in the microelectronics/electronics and semiconductors sector.

Work Description

The selected candidate will join a team dedicated to carrying out tasks aimed at strengthening the national microelectronics/electronics ecosystem. The role will involve promoting training initiatives, analyzing the needs of the business sector, and collaborating with academic institutions, as well as assessing the needs for complementary services within the industry associated with the microelectronics/electronics sector. Active participation in research and innovation projects in this field is also expected.

  • Monitoring and analyzing the training and service needs of companies in the sector.
  • Collaborating with public bodies and connecting with relevant European initiatives.
  • Contributing to the medium-term growth strategy for microelectronics/electronics within the institution (INESC TEC).
  • Overseeing and managing innovative projects in the field of microelectronics/electronics.

Academic Qualifications

  • Master's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or related fields.

Minimum Profile Required

  • Strong knowledge of specific topics related to electronics.
  • Proficiency in Portuguese and English, both written and spoken.
  • Must hold a valid driving license in Portugal.
  • Availability to travel.

Preference Factors

  • Experience interacting with companies in the microelectronics/electronics sector.
  • Experience participating in funded projects in Electrical Engineering.
  • Familiarity with public policies in the fields of science and technology, as well as in training and education.
