Role Overview: Government Affairs Advisor

This role will represent and protect Indorama Ventures’ interests in the United States by developing and nurturing relationships with trade associations, government agencies, and regulatory bodies at local, state, and federal levels.

Key Responsibilities

• Engage consistently with company stakeholders at key events and discussions.
• Participate in daily agenda to protect local business continuity.
• Enhance competitiveness through advocacy in public policies and trade remedies.
• Build and nurture relationships with government agencies, trade associations, and diplomatic bodies.
• Support internal teams in assessing impacts of local public policies and map opportunities.
• Assemble teams and manage processes related to government affairs initiatives.
• Represent the company at relevant events in Texas, Washington, DC, and beyond.
• Advocate to overcome market imbalances through government affairs driven initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science, Law, Communications, Economics or relevant field (mandatory).
• Higher degree in Political Science or related area (desirable).
• Proficiency with Internet, Email and MS Office Suite.
• Strong writing and oral communication skills.
• Experience in government affairs in private sector, public sector, or trade associations.
• Knowledge of Federal Election Campaign Act and related campaign finance laws (desirable).
