Role Overview
This role represents and protects Indorama Ventures' interests in the United States by engaging with trade associations, government agencies, regulators, and diplomatic bodies at local, state, and federal levels. You will participate in key events and discussions, advocate on public policy matters, and work closely with internal teams to assess and address risks and opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage with stakeholders through regular attendance at key events.
- Advocate for public policies that enhance business continuity and competitiveness.
- Build and nurture relationships with government agencies, trade associations, and diplomatic bodies.
- Support internal teams by assessing public policy impacts and developing action plans.
- Represent the company at events primarily in Texas and Washington, DC.
- Help overcome market challenges through government affairs initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science, Law, Communications, Economics, or a related area (mandatory).
- A higher degree in a relevant field is desirable.
- Proficiency with Internet, Email, and MS Office suite (mandatory).
- Strong writing and oral communication skills (mandatory).
- Government affairs experience in private, trade associations, or public sectors is required.
- Familiarity with Federal Election Campaign Act and related campaign contribution laws is desirable.
