About the Role
The Manager – Academic Administration Masters Programmes at Indian Institute for Human Settlements supports the administration and delivery of Masters-level programmes. This role is integral to maintaining the operational excellence of the academic office through coordination with faculty, administrative teams, and other stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage logistics and operational requirements for Masters courses including classroom sessions, masterclasses, field visits, and assessments.
- Support the administration in managing teaching-learning facilities, troubleshooting issues and ensuring smooth operations.
- Oversee routine administrative tasks such as vendor management, bookkeeping, billing, and purchase requests.
- Coordinate with IIHS teams for orientation, graduation, alumni activities and other institutional events.
- Maintain records, calendars, and filing systems while ensuring confidentiality and meticulous communication.
- Represent the Academic Programme on committees and support broader institution-building activities.
- Travel as required within or outside India for IIHS work.
Person Specification
Candidates should possess a Master’s degree in any discipline with at least 8 years of relevant experience in academic administration or programme management. Proficiency in English, a high level of organizational capability, detailed record management, and strong communication skills are essential. Familiarity with basic software tools such as MS Office, Adobe, and virtual meeting platforms is required. Sectoral knowledge in Urban Studies or related fields is a plus.
Additional Information
This exclusive position requires that candidates do not engage in any other professional assignments that might conflict with IIHS.
