Culinary Specialist - Bakery Administration

The Indian Institute for Human Settlements (IIHS) is seeking a qualified and experienced Culinary Specialist with expertise in bakery preparation to support campus dining operations. This role is crucial for preparing nutritious meals and bakery products for students, faculty, and staff, while upholding high standards of quality, hygiene, and kitchen efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Preparation and supervision of daily food production for campus dining facilities.
  • Production of a variety of bakery and confectionery items, including breads, cakes, pastries, and desserts.
  • Monitoring bakery production schedules to ensure timely availability of fresh products.
  • Assistance in menu planning for balanced nutrition and variety.
  • Maintaining consistency in food quality, taste, and presentation.
  • Ensuring compliance with food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards (FSSAI and university guidelines).
  • Inventory management, storage, and stock rotation using FIFO practices.
  • Coordination with procurement for raw material planning.
  • Supervision of kitchen assistants and support staff.

  • 3–5 years of relevant experience in institutional catering, hotels, or large-scale food production.
