About the Role: Art Director at INDG | Grip
As our Art Director, you will be pivotal in defining and evolving the creative vision across client work, pitches, and internal IP. You are expected to set and continuously raise the bar for visual excellence, translating strategic insights, research, and cultural understanding into compelling, scalable creative directions.
Working closely with production, project management, and operations teams, you will adeptly balance creative ambition with practical feasibility. This involves safeguarding quality, adhering to timelines, and managing budgets, all while pushing the boundaries of what's creatively possible.
What is Grip?
Grip, INDG's innovative software branch, offers an end-to-end content automation platform. This platform leverages CGI, rule-based generative AI, and post-production to create infinite ad variations. It transforms master ad creatives into endless adaptations, enabling brands to scale content production globally without compromising quality or brand consistency.
Grip achieves this by converting master content into a deeply modular configurator, empowering marketers to effortlessly generate visual adaptations and variations. This process significantly reduces production costs while maintaining unwavering brand consistency.
Key Responsibilities
- Define, own, and continuously evolve the creative vision for all projects, ensuring originality, cultural relevance, and high craft.
- Set the benchmark for visual excellence, ensuring all deliverables (treatments, decks, final assets) are on-brief, on-brand, and impeccably executed.
- Translate research, strategy, and cultural insights into clear, actionable creative directions and concepts for execution teams.
- Provide decisive and constructive creative direction and feedback throughout the process, guiding revisions, iterations, and safeguarding project timelines and budgets.
- Act as a trusted creative counterpart to brand, marketing, and innovation leads on the client side, building strong relationships through clear communication, refined taste, and robust decision-making.
- Assess project briefs to determine appropriate creative input and production strategies, aligning ambition with feasibility in collaboration with production and operations.
- Ensure clear priorities, expectations, and deadlines are maintained, upholding brand continuity and quality across all outputs.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- A strong background in CGI art direction, coupled with hands-on understanding of 3D pipelines, virtual production, digital lighting, and AI image generation.
- A compelling portfolio showcasing campaigns, content, film, or immersive experiences that demonstrate exceptional taste, originality, and craftsmanship.
- Proven experience collaborating with global brands or navigating complex stakeholder environments.
- A deep understanding of aesthetics, performance-driven content, and effective visual communication.
- The ability to transform abstract strategic concepts into clear, compelling creative ideas that teams can confidently execute.
- Experience working with clients and brands based in Asia is a valuable plus.
