About the role

Job Summary

The Business Analyst supports the effectiveness and integrity of Explanation of Benefits (EOB) processes across all Lines of Business. This role manages EOB-related technical tickets, coordinates across business, operations, technology, and vendors, and represents the EOB team on cross-functional initiatives. The Business Analyst ensures timely resolution of system and data issues, maintains visibility into project deliverables and risks, and organizes team activities to support regulatory compliance, audit readiness, and process improvement. Through analysis and coordination, the role identifies defects, supports root cause analysis, and drives improvements to ensure accurate, compliant, and efficient EOB delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the central point of intake, triage, and tracking for all EOB-related technical tickets and production issues.
  • Escalate risks, and provide regular updates to leadership and stakeholders.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and vendors to ensure timely investigation, prioritization, and resolution of defects and data discrepancies.
  • Maintain documentation of issue trends, root causes, and resolution outcomes to support audit and compliance needs.
  • Support prioritization of team workload to ensure focus on high-risk, compliance-driven, and high-impact items.
  • Develop and maintain documentation, trackers, and reporting tools to enhance transparency and organization.
  • Facilitate team routines such as status meetings, action item tracking, and follow-ups.
  • Support audit readiness by ensuring documentation, defect tracking, and remediation activities are organized and accessible.
  • Contribute to improving workflows, documentation standards, and cross-team coordination.
  • Partner with leadership to provide insights into EOB performance, risks, and operational impacts.
  • Ensure stakeholder alignment on priorities, timelines, and issue resolution strategies.
  • Represent the EOB team in cross-functional projects, including system enhancements, regulatory updates, and new product implementations.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in healthcare operations, claims processing, business analysis, or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience managing tickets, production issues, or defect tracking processes.
  • Strong organizational and project coordination skills with the ability to effectively manage multiple priorities.
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills, with the ability to translate complex data for non-technical stakeholders a plus.
  • Ability to interpret business and technical requirements a plus.
